David has extensive experience in the development and exploitation of intellectual property rights including infringement and validity analysis and intellectual property licensing including trademark, technology, patent and software with particular emphasis in the following technical sectors:

David employs his extensive and diverse corporate experience as a general counsel with his law firm experience to provide his clients with legal advice grounded in the realities and finances of the business world.

 

David’s intellectual property litigation experience includes a range of technical areas, including personal computers, energy sector, software, and cellular telephone fields.

 

David has extensive knowledge and experience as a mediator, arbitrator and expert witness in the areas of distribution agreements, license agreements, professional responsibility, trade secrets, industry practices, damages, infringement analysis, and patent office practices in the high-tech and energy sectors. David has served as a mediator and arbitrator in a number of cases and is available to serve as a mediator and arbitrator. He has also served as an expert witness in the intellectual property field.

Professional Activities

 

David is a emeritus member of the Houston Intellectual Property Inn of Court and an emeritus member of the American General Counsel Association.

 

He is a member of the Willowbrook Methodist Hospital Board of Trustees and an Advisory Board Member of Neuhaus Education Center. He is also a registered professional engineer (inactive) in the State of Texas.

 

David also provides pro bono legal services to unaccompanied, undocumented children detained by the Department of Homeland Security.
